| Design, Manufacture and Supply
Based near Sheffield, centrally located in the heart of the United Kingdom we have established ourselves as a source for Telemetry,
Control and SCADA products.
At our facility we have the resources for design, manufacture and supply of telemetry and automation
products for distributed data acquisition and control.
Our Resources
CSE Seprol occupies the same premises as its sister company, CSE Servelec and the two companies often share resources in order to achieve the
most effective and suitable solutions for their customers. CSE Seprol's strengths lie in the development and manufacture of products for telemetry, control and SCADA, whilst CSE Servelec
focuses upon the design of IT systems that integrate with existing working practices and providing technical support to users. The varying skills offered by the two companies complement
each other and can be combined or used individually to provide the broadest range of options for satisfying customer requirements.
Situated at our Group Headquarters we are able to undertake design, development, manufacture
and supply on the 9260 square metre site. At its purpose-built works and offices the Group employs over 200 people, making CSE Servelec
Group one of the largest independent system integrators of its kind within the UK.
Within the Group we have access to additional resources to enable us to provide a comprehensive
product supply service.
Product Design
Electrical, electronic, mechanical, firmware and software design are all elements that contribute to the creation of our in house developed products. We use a
range of technologies to arrive at solutions that include:
- Microprocessor and micro controller based electronics
- Embedded firmware for real time control and monitoring applications
- Double sided,multi-layer, PTH and conventional printed circuit design
- Surface mount device (SMD) circuit design
- PC software development for operation, configuration and programming
- CAD Systems
Our engineers also ensure the product design meets the requirements of
- Low Voltage Directive (LVD)
- Electro Magnetic Compatibility Directive (EMC)
- Radio and Telecommunications Terminal Equipment Directive (R&TTE)
in order to comply with the mandatory European Standards for CE marking.
These skills are primarily used for design and development of our own products. From time to time applications may require us to undertake developments to expand the capabilities
of the product to meet customers specific requirements. We have many "man years" experience in industrial electronics hardware and software so please contact us to discuss your application
in detail and help you find a suitable solution. On occasions the application is very specialised and our expertise and knowledge can also be used to undertake a custom design solution.
Manufacture and Test
With over 500 square metres of space dedicated to the assembly, inspection and test of electronic products we have capacity to meet most customers needs.
If this is not sufficient we have access to group resources of personnel and space on the 9260 square metre site.
Care of components and products starts at source. The Electrostatic Discharge precautions taken by CSE-Seprol start the moment the parts are received in stores. Special precautions
are taken in areas of the works known as Electrostatic discharge Preventative Areas (EPA's). In these areas we handle the components and products to ensure minimum risk from Electrostatic
Discharge.
The assembly process starts with the population of PCBs with solder pasting, SMD component placement and Infrared Reflow though the oven.
Then, after inspection the units are populated with conventional components with a final visual inspection prior to test. All units are 100% electrically tested before release for sale
or assembly into configured units.
Despatch of product can either be as controllers and cards, configured units or units assembled into panels. Information from the customer is requested at time of order to enable us
to "build" the telemetry controllers to required specification (very similar to "building" a PC). These configurations are then soak tested for three days prior to despatch.
Sales
To enable rapid turn round of order to despatch, the heart of our stock control system is based on a distributed network of workstations
in sales, stores, production and despatch. Orders are logged into the the materials resource planning and control system supplied by Kewill that provides all areas of the business
with up to date information about orders and product/component availability. Our sales administration are eager to assist in providing information on product availability, delivery/despatch
dates or other information relating to enquiries and orders.
Partnerships
At CSE Seprol we strive to offer a range of integrated products to enable systems builder's and OEM's to create solutions simply.
Whilst we pride ourselves on our technical abilities we recognise the need for forming strong partnerships with third party suppliers, systems builders and other complementary organisations
so we can bring together a comprehensive range of solution solving products.
We are keen to form new partnerships with companies both in the United Kingdom, Europe and Internationally. If you feel that what
you have to offer, combined with our products and services, will produce a winning combination for the benefit of all concerned then contact us at:
